Strategic Intervention (SI) is the term that was given to the coaching system devised from the integration of the skills and experience of Cloe Madanes and Tony Robbins, who first started to work together in 2002. The material has been formulised and taught extensively by master coaches Mark and Magali Peysha (son-in-law and daughter of Cloe Madanes).

Cloe Madanes boasts a career stemming from the early 1970’s, having studied with Milton H. Erickson, she began to help form the strategic approach to therapy – specialising in working with family systems and relationships. She has since established herself as a leading figure in this field, having talked at conferences around the world and written numerous books published in many languages.

Tony Robbins is perhaps the most famous living person in the coaching and therapy industry. He started to study the work of Jim Rohn (motivational speaker) from an early age and then went on to learn about hypnosis and NLP. Over the years, he has amended and added strategies to help facilitate both change and excellence in people and has worked with a portfolio of famous people, including sports stars, royalty and presidents.

The integration of what these two masters bring to the table has brought therapy into a model that is generally referred to as Life Coaching in the modern day. Strategic Intervention methodology itself focuses less on the past as with traditional theories and puts more emphasis on where the client is right now and where they want to go.

There is a strong belief that the client can achieve what they need or desire – it is just a matter of living their life aligned to who they really are and to their real underlying purpose. Belief systems are explored and challenged for change. There is a philosophy that we behave primarily according to the psychology of our strongest human needs, and once we understand these and can adapt and/or re-align these, then we can achieve better experiences in our relationships – which are viewed as a fundamental cause of the quality of our lives.

Strategic Intervention also adds more attention to the need for action. Conventional applications focused on the past and even the present, but did not tend to appreciate the importance of actual implementation of new behaviours – which (SI) considers a paramount piece of the puzzle in order to fully facilitate real and actual long lasting change that integrates now for the compelling future ahead.

Just like Tony, I have also brought with me different applications from my years of experience and now mix them in with a modernised approach centred around the concepts of Strategic Intervention.
